Posted a couple of days ago, a photo of a rare white lobster is one of the most popular threads on r/Maine. The photo, said to be from a lobsterman in Stonington, is actually a few years old. The photo originated on r/rarelobsters, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Blue lobsters usually make the news in Maine, as only one in two million have this color.

There are only 23 threads on r/rarelobsters, and some of them are jokes, but you can find some very vibrant lobsters there.
