Frankie MacDonald, beloved Canadian YouTube star and amateur weatherman, returned to the video site recently to warn Mainers about the impending snow storm set to hit the state this week.
MacDonald’s latest dispatch from Nova Scotia implores Mainers to be prepared for the snow, which is expected to start falling Tuesday and could leave 14 inches of fresh powder in northern Maine.
“Do your grocery shopping,” he says. “Don’t wait til last minute. Do it right now!”
MacDonald, who has autism, has become an inspirational figure against online trolls. He has nearly 34,000 Twitter followers and more than 64,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Most of the state is under a winter storm warning, with the heaviest snow forecast in Aroostook County, and 6-10 inches in central, eastern and Down East Maine.
