Anytime is a good time to post about Hollywood star and Portland native Anna Kendrick. She’s a bona fide A-lister who’s doing the state proud with prestigious Oscar and Tony award nominations and starring roles in blockbusters like “Into the Woods” and “Twilight.”

Kendrick has also won fans through her hilarious Twitter missives and other, often seemingly random comedic offerings.

But sometimes, she has us all laughing so hard we temporarily forget she’s got serious vocal talent. Don’t forget, her “Pitch Perfect” song “Cups” was certified triple platinum in sales.
